End of Isolation Film Community-Building Event
Let's come together for a kickass film event that celebrates the end of isolation and builds a tight-knit community.
We hope you can join us on April 5th, 5:30-7:30 for an event at San Francisco’s beautiful Unity Church, 240 Page St., co-hosted by the film's Co-Director, Sarah Shourd and Former Senator Mark Leno. The purpose is to connect with fellow film enthusiasts and build support for the upcomming documentary The End of Isolation.
If you are receiving this invitation you have either been a friend and supporter for years, or you are new to this project. Either way, we thought of you because we share a commitment to art and reimagining justice. We will show a couple scenes from the film, present our impact strategy and have time for questions and conversation. There will be an opportunity but no expectation to pledge or donate a penny. Drinks and snacks will be provided. This event is sponsored by Planting Justice.
RSVP here.
The film chronicles the summer of 2022, when nine people embarked on a two-month tour in a converted school bus to perform The BOX, a critically acclaimed play about prison resistance, in ten US communities. This documentary not only follows this mesmerizing journey but also dives deep into the lives of visionary thought leaders and communities on the frontlines of reimagining justice across our country. IF WE THINK BEYOND PRISONS, WHAT ARE WE BUILDING IN THEIR PLACE?
So mark your calendars and get ready to experience the joy of community and the power of film. Also, please invite others. We’re looking for the people that are looking for us, with the goal of strengthening our efforts and making this film a reality. We can't wait to see you there!
